15/4/2019  Spill The Beans colt shines at Capricornia

A colt by Aquis Farm stallion Spill The Beans (Snitzel), who shuttled to the National Stud in Newmarket last year, topped the Capricornia Yearling Sale when realising $51,000 to Rockhampton trainer Jared Wehlow yesterday. “Hopefully the Spill The Beans progeny go like the Better Than Readys and Spirit of Booms,” Wehlow said. “This yearling has probably got a little bit of growing to do but he was the one we came here to buy. I probably paid a bit more than I thought I’d have to but he’s just a nice horse and he’s going to be raced in partnership with Aquis Farm, who are retaining a share. This might be the first one that’s raced up here with their colours on.” Catalogued as Lot 33, the colt is from the family of Listed winner Under The Sun (No Excuse Needed).
