22/7/2018 25 for Show A Heart

Fit For Purpose (4 g ex Gag Order by Conatus) yesterday provided veteran Queensland stallion Show A Heart (Brave Warrior) his 25th individual stakes winner after he won the BRC Tattersall’s Mile (Listed, 1600m) at Doomben. The Liam Birchley-trained Fit For Purpose, who was purchased for $14,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Yearling Sale in 2015, defeated the Robert Heathcote-trained No Annamossity (Mossman) ($2.70 favourite) by one and a quarter lengths, with the runner-up’s stablemate Lordag (Any Given Saturday) ($51) a nose away in third place. Show A Heart, who is also the sire of Group 1 winners Heart Of Dreams, Toorak Toff and Woorim, covered 19 mares at Glenlogan Park last year and rising 20, he is now in semi-retirement at the stud.
