Rosemont Stud’s new stallion Shamus Award (Snitzel) added to his growing reputation with promising three-year-old Soul Patch (3 c ex God Bless Us by Flying Spur) proving superior with a dominant victory in the Moonee Valley Vase (Gr 2, 2040m). Trained by Ken Keys, Soul Patch is the fifth stakes winner for Cox Plate (Gr 1, 2040m) winner who is also responsible for siring Queensland Derby (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Mr Quickie. Shamus Award, who stands for a fee of $11,000 (inc GST), relocated from Widden Stud to Rosemont Stud in Victoria this year
