8/10/2019 First for Ocean Park and Casamento

On a day to remember for the Chris Waller stable, Kolding (4 g ex Magic Star by Danzero) was one of four Group 1 winners for the team when he won the Epsom Handicap (Gr 1, 1600m) at Flemington and in the process handed Ocean Park (Thorn Park) with his first Group 1 winner. The gelding was purchased by Guy Mulcaster Bloodstock for NZ$170,000 at the New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale from the Wentwood Grange draft. Ocean Park stands at Waikato Stud for a fee of NZ$15,000 (plus GST).
Sunnyhill Stud-based sire Casamento (Shamardal) was provided with his first elite level winner when Kings Will Dream (5 g ex Road Harbour by Rodrigo De Triano) landed the Turnbull Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) at Flemington on Saturday. The Chris Waller-trained fiveyear-old gelding was purchased by Highflyer Bloodstock for 7,500gns at the Tattersalls Horses-In-Training in 2016. Casamento stood for a fee of €3,000 in 2019.
