3/1/2020 Price can’t split Caulfield duo

Trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr head into the Margaret Hogan Handicap with two leading chances in Shezawitness (Star Witness) and Bella Amore (Snitzel) with Price unable to split the pair. “I ran her at Moonee Valley thinking it was a Benchmark fillies’ race and maybe we could get away with it and get the good Saturday prize-money,” Price said of Shezawitness. “I wasn’t unhappy with her performance, she was just beaten by a good one (It’s Kind Of Magic), so that was like a Saturday morning gallop to get her ready for this weekend.I think she’ll run well.” On Bella Amore Price added: “There’s not too much difference between the two, the racing has actually brought her on and she’s become a lot tougher. We didn’t have a huge opinion of her early days, but she just keeps improving. She won at Sandown, then ran super at Flemington and I think she’ll also be very competitive on Saturday.”
