2/3/2020 Slipper next for Hungry Heart

Yulong farm’s Frankel (Galileo) filly Hungry Heart justified trainer Chris Waller’s high opinion of the two-year-old with a strong win in the Sweet Embrace Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) at Randwick on Saturday. Sam Fairgray said it was likely that the filly would head into the Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) without another run. “Chris, to his credit, in June last year, said, ‘where do you want to head with this filly because you can head anywhere?’ and we said with her being by Frankel, just give her a spell. She had a run at Flemington and then we sent her back to the farm for a week because we were going to spell her. Chris called and said could he set her for the Slipper. He’s a good judge and it was a good effort to get her to win (on Saturday).”
