Rose order of entry list
Godolphin's dominance of two-year-old racing last season has been reflected in the first order of entry for the $1 million Golden Rose Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m). Four of the top five in the ballot carry Godolphin's famous royal blue colours, headed by Golden Slipper (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Kiamichi (Sidestep), fellow Group 1 scorer Microphone (Exceed And Excel) and Exhilarates (Snitzel), who won the Magic Millions 2YO Classic (RL, 1200m), for trainer James Cummings and Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Lyre (Lonhro) for Anthony Freedman. Kiamichi and Microphone are unlikely to take their chance in the Group 1 at Rosehill on September 28, but Godolphin’s Bivouac (Exceed And Excel) — who won the Vain Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) — is currently heading the betting for the $1,000,000 race.
