11/7/2019 Fastnet Express to stand at Brisbane Meadows

Fastnet Express, an unraced son of champion sire Fastnet Rock (Danehill), has been retired to stand his first season at Brisbane Meadows in the NSW Southern Highlands in 2019. Fastnet Express, who was purchased for $250,000 from the 2017 Magic MIllions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, is out of the Group 2-winning New Zealand mare My Tusker (Volskraad) and is a half-sister to Special Favour (General Nediym), who is the dam of this season’s Queensland Derby (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Mr Quickie (Shamus Award). "Anthony Cummings had a very big opinion of him, but unfortunately he did not make it to the racetrack due to injury. His owners will be supporting him well with a quality group of mares and he will be available to outside mares this season as well,” Brisbane Meadows’ Fiona Mylan said. Fastnet Express will stand for a fee of $1,500 (inc GST)
