4/7/2019  Eight for Dissident

First season sire Dissident (Sebring) sired his eighth first crop winner yesterday when Ingear (2 f ex Cacophony by Elusive Quality) scored a dominant debut victory at Ipswich. The Tony Gollan-trained filly defeated five-year-old American Love (All American) by four and a half lengths, with Express Fantasy (Shamexpress) another head away in third. Ingear, who was bred by Paul Maguire, was a $150,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase by his trainer and John Foote from the Vinery Stud draft. Dissident is also the sire of the stakes-placed Challa and Foxborough as well as the promising Disruptor, Yitai Synergy and Pancho. Dissident will stand for a fee of $27,500 (inc GST) this year.
