28/11/2018 Crystal Beau ready for debut

Unraced colt Crystal Beau (Brazen Beau) tuned up for his possible debut at Moonee Valley with a gallop at the track yesterday. The Clinton McDonald trained two-year-old is by Darley’s exciting first season sire Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible), who sired his first winner at Rosehill on Saturday when the James Cummings-trained Tassort made an impressive winning debut in the Golden Gift 2YO Plate (1100m) in track-record time. "Dylan Dunn rode Crystal Beau and felt he was very new and having a really good look around," McDonald told "He's a natural type of two-year-old, very workmanlike, tough, eats well, and his shins are good. We haven't pushed him hard, he got here on his own accord. He's a horse that just kept improving each week."
