Danceteria (Redoute’s Choice), who won the Grosser Dallmayr Preis (Gr 1, 2000m) at Munich on Sunday, and the Kevin Prendergast-trained Madhmoon (Dawn Approach) are the latest two international invitees for this year’s Cox Plate (Gr 1, 2040m). Danceteria is owned by Australian Bloodstock, while Madhmoon finished fourth in the Irish Derby (Gr 1, 1m4f) having run second in the English equivalent. "Both horses have warranted an invitation to the Ladbrokes Cox Plate and we are hopeful that they will accept to take part in the race," said RV's general manager, international and racing operations, Paul Bloodworth. "Danceteria is rated 115, has been on our radar for some time and showed he was a serious contender after his Group 1 win in Munich, while Madhmoon is rated 117 and is a serious x-factor horse for the Cox Plate." The first round of nominations for the Cox Plate close on Tuesday, August 6.
