Jul 6 2020 Jockey hunt for Boomtown Lass

After being withdrawn from Saturday’s Bright Shadow Stakes (Listed, 1200m) due to a bad barrier, Boomtown Lass (Spirit Of Boom) is set to take her chance in the Ramornie Handicap (Listed, 1200m) at Grafton on Wednesday. However, trainer Chris Anderson is yet to lock in a rider. "This is going to be the last run of her campaign. The Eagle Farm race would have suited against her own sex," Anderson said. "She drew barrier 14 and we waited off to see if some of the early scratchings might have brought her in substantially, but that didn't happen and the way the field panned out she looked certain to be posted wide. She was entered for the Ramornie and she is assured of a run with 54 kilograms. It made more sense to go there." Boomtown Lass will have a spell after the Ramornie before being targeted toward the Magic Millions raceday in January. Check out the latest betting markets.
