16/10/2017 Vega Magic to contest Manikato

Co-trainer David Hayes has confirmed that Vega Magic (Lope De Vega) will head to the Manikato Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) at Moonee Valley on 27 October at his next start. The gelding was a fast-finishing second in The
Everest on Saturday, and Hayes believes he would have won from a better barrier. “We think if he had have drawn a better barrier he would have won”, Hayes told “His next run will be in the Manikato Stakes and then he’ll go to the Darley Classic afterwards.”
