31/1/2018 Three for Sizzling

Newgate Farm-based first crop stallion Sizzling (Snitzel) yesterday sired his third individual winner when Saint Antonio Lad (2 c ex Catrille by Catrail) was victorious at Gosford. The juvenile colt, who is trained by Peter and Paul Snowden at Randwick, won a two-year-old maiden plate (1000m) by three quarters of a length at his second start. Saint Antonio Lad, who was seventh to Estijaab (Snitzel) at Randwick on 20
January, defeated Ulusaba (Exceed And Excel), with Buckin’ Beauty (Delago Deluxe) another short neck away in third place. Sizzling, who stood for a fee of $16,500 (inc GST) last year, is also the sire of the unbeaten Sizzling Belle and Sugar Sizzle.
