14/3/2018 Quinton duo to clash in Coolmore

Talented mares and stablemates Dixie Blossoms (Street Sense) and Daysee Doom (Domesday) will renew their rivalry when they clash in the Coolmore Classic (TAD Kennedy Stakes) (Gr 1, 1500m) at Rosehill on Saturday. The pair have both beaten each other once, with Daysee Doom winning the Golden Pendant (Gr 2, 1400m), while Dixie Blossoms scored a victory over her stablemate in the their most recent meeting in the Angst Stakes (Gr 3, 1600m) in October. "There's never been much between them, so the barrier draw will come into play," Quinton said. "It won't be easy for either of them. It's a very strong race and it appears there will be a capacity field of 20 runners.”
After Wednesday's barrier draw Dixie Blossoms drew barrier 4 and will be ridden by Corey Brown, whilst Daysee Doom drew barrier 14 and will be ridden by Andrew Adkins.
