2/2/2018 Blinkers for Logan River

The Tony McEvoy-trained Logan River (Snitzel) will have blinkers applied when he resumes in the Chairman’s Stakes (Gr 3, 1000m) at Caulfield on Saturday. The two-year-old finished third on debut at Sandown Hillside, before running sixth in the Inglis Nursery (RL,1000m) at Randwick on 16 December. "I think with the blinkers on you'll see the real Logan River," said McEvoy's Melbourne foreman Michael Shepherdson. "Tony gave him a jump out at Gawler in blinkers and he really travelled quite strongly. From a nice barrier, he should get a really good run and be on the pace. With blinkers on, we're pretty confident he's going to put himself in the race."
