1/2/2018 Williams on Kinky Boom

Jockey Craig Williams will partner the Tony McEvoy-trained filly Kinky Boom (Spirit Of Boom) when she makes her career debut in the 2YO Inglis Premier (1000m) at Caulfield on Saturday. The filly tuned up for her racecourse bow with an emphatic trial win at Morphettville, beating stablemate Lady Young (Fastnet Rock) by an impressive eight and a half lengths. "Well it looks like they'll be light on for a capacity field," Williams told Racing.com. "It was great to get the phone call from the McEvoy stable to say they had a horse trial [well] in Adelaide. When I was chasing up the trials to have a look at the
one they had given me, I'd have been happy with any of their three horses that trialled and won there at Morphettville on Monday." The daughter of Spirit Of Boom (Sequalo) was one for seven acceptors for the $250,000 race.
