18/6/2018 McEvoy to ride Invincibella

Kerrin McEvoy has stepped in for the mount on Invincibella in Saturday’s Tatt’s Tiara. James McDonald was in the saddle when Chris Waller’s mare won the Dane Ripper Stakes last time out but with McDonald slated to ride this week at Royal Ascot, where his book of potential rides includes Commonwealth Cup (Gr 1, 6f) hope Equilateral (Equiano), McEvoy has been called up to take the mount. Meanwhile, jockey Brenton Avdulla is set to head back to Doomben this Saturday to continue his successful partnership with the Peter and Paul Snowden trained Moss Trip (Mossman) in Saturday’s Tatt’s Tiara. Avdulla most recently rode the filly to finish a close third to Invincibella (I Am Invincible) in the Dane Ripper Stakes (Gr 2, 1350m), the traditional Queensland lead-up to the Tiara. Moss Trip has since remained at Doomben with an eye on Saturday’s showpiece.
