6/12/2017 Grey Lion thriving on racing

Trainer Matt Cumani is hoping for a big performance from Grey Lion (Galileo) in Saturday’s Pakenham Cup (Listed, 2500m), after being impressed with his last-start third on a heavy track in the Ballarat Cup
(Listed, 2200m). Despite being the eighth start of the son of Galileo’s (Sadler’s Wells) preparation, Cumani believes he is still thriving with every run. "He seems to really enjoy racing and I think that's what I've learned from last preparation," Cumani said. "We never quite got him ready enough because we weren't racing him enough and he hadn't had enough runs by the time we sent him out. I think he's better than ever, to be honest."
