10/5/2018 Three for Waller in The Roses

Chris Waller looks set to launch a threepronged attack on The Roses (Gr 2, 2000m) at Doomben on Saturday, with the trainer set to saddle last start winner Youngstar (High Chaparral), Impulsive (So You Think) and Another Dollar (Ocean Park). The trio are among 16 acceptances for the $175,000 race, plus four emergencies. James Cummings has accepted with Banish (Lonhro), who attempts to bounce back from two disappointing efforts on her most recent appearances in the P J Bell Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) and the James H B Carr Stakes (Gr 3, 1400m). “She’s attempting 2000 metres for the first time after working to the line without threatening last time and after having no luck in a couple of runs earlier in the campaign,” said Cummings.

In early betting for the Roses with Neds, Torvill is $4.50 favourite just ahead of Youngstar $4.60. Neds: New Clients: $500 first deposit match *
