Race 1 Jack Hibberd Memorial Maiden 900m

Two Hearts drops sharply in class after a close second on debut at Newcastle on May 20. Unwanted in betting the filly showed good speed over the ‘900’to lead until shows of the post.

Kennywyn has been placed in four of his seven starts and he has led in most of them.

D’Last Za was run down late in a Coffs Harbour 800 metre race last start.

Selections

9 Two Hearts

1 Kennywyn

2 D’Last Za

Race 2 Sam Unwin Memorial Maiden 1150m

Solar Cry has been racing in stronger company and she will be fitter after a first up Goulburn placing. She looked the winner at the 200 but tired late. This is a winnable race for the filly.

Enhanced was runner up in her second race start at Port Macquarie recently. She was hampered at the start then over raced before checking off heels at the 1000.

Win The Lottery is a former Victorian with a Geelong placing to her credit.

Selections

11 Solar Cry

9 Enhances

7 Win The Lottery

Race 3 Bill Brown Memorial Class 2 1150m

Banksia resumed from a spell with a strong Dubbo win five weeks ago. She won a Muswellbrook Maiden in October and she wasn’t far off in a good race at Scone in November. The filly normally races on the pace.

Gingersnap won two on the trot at Scone and Kempsey earlier this year and she was very unlucky in a race on this track last year.

Happy Go Plucky resumed and he had solid Hunter Valley form last prep.

Selections

6 Banksia

7 Gingersnap

3 Happy Go Plucky

Race 4 Harold Sternbeck Memorial Benchmark 60 2125m

Miss Tickles has won three races on this track and two over this trip. Her last start third at Muswellbrook indicates that she is ready to win again.

Chosen Prince is down in class and he is well placed here. The stable is flying.

The Bohemian bolted in at Muswellbrook last start and he is a solid stayer when in form.

Selections

7 Miss Tickles

2 Chosen Prince

4 The Bohemian

Race 5 Peter O’Neill Memorial Class 3 1570m

Prince Roo is a front runner with three placings on this track. He was run down late on this track three starts back and was a close fourth at Muswellbrook last start. He could be hard to run down here.

No Effort Needed is racing well with a placing on this track two starts back and a last start Taree win.

Exotic Fever wasn’t beaten far at Muswellbrook last start and he was a Cessnock winner three starts back.

Selections

5 Prince Roo

4 No Effort Needed

13 Exotic Fever

Race 6 Arthur Thompson Memorial Maiden 1350m

Gacela was placed twice at Taree last prep and she resumes here from a good barrier. The mare trialled nicely at Wyong recently and she has a top jockey.

Divine Nature has won two trials recently at Newcastle and Wyong and she is sure to be well fancied if she gains a start.

Horsey McHorseface failed on a heavy track at Muswellbrook last start and he was placed in his previous two starts.

Selections

10 Gacela

16 Divine Nature

2 Horsey McHorseface

Race 7 John Cleaves Memorial Benchmark 55 900m

Enjoyable has raced well in both starts this campaign at Cessnock and Gunnedah. He led a strong 900 metre field first up here and he was narrowly beaten. He finished fourth in a good field at Gunnedah last start.

Kamehameha has a good record on this track and is speedy.

Bare Foot Babe has been placed in two of three starts.

Selections

3 Enjoyable

2 Kamehameha

6 Bare Foot Babe
